GTAW stands for Gas Tungsten Arc Welding.However people are more familiar with its common name TIG which stands for Tungsten Inert Gas Welding.GTAW is the most versatile of all welding processes. It is used for welding of Aluminium, Stainless Steel,Copper, Titanium, Magnesium and their Alloys. The power source required for TIG should be capable of giving constant current even if there are small changes in the arc length.
